A note to our valued clients in regards to the COVID-19:
According to the latest AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) bulletin issued on March 15th:
“infectious disease experts and multiple international and domestic human and animal health organizations (CDC, OIE, WHO) agree there is no evidence at this point to indicate that pets can spread COVID-19 to other animals including humans.”
What this means is that while it is important to practice good hygiene such as washing your hands and regularly cleaning your pet’s food and water bowls and bedding etc. There is no evidence that pets can become ill with COVID-19 or that they spread it to other animals including us humans!
In order to limit exposure to the COVID-19 virus, and follow AVMA guidelines we have instituted the following safety measures when bringing your pet in for an appointment or picking up medications.
Please call the hospital in advance to pick up medication. We will obtain payment information over the phone. Medication will be placed in a “medication pick up box” located outside the entrance along with your receipt.
When arriving for an appointment, please call to let us know that you are in the parking lot. Please give your payment information to the receptionist. A Dr. and assistant will come and talk to you, then your pet will be taken into the hospital for treatment.
We appreciate your understanding of the change in our normal procedures. We are dedicated to providing your pet with the best care possible during this trying time.
